Reddit parental controls
There is no parental control here at all. Any guide describing a Reddit family mode is describing something that does not exist.

Before you start: Access to the account. There is no parent account and no linkage.
Do this
- Sign in to the teen’s account and open Settings
- Turn off Enable mature (18+) content
- Turn off Show mature content in search
- Then handle the rest with Haven’s network protection, because Reddit offers nothing further
The settings that matter
| Setting | Younger child | Teenager |
|---|---|---|
| Enable mature (18+) contentHides communities that have labelled themselves adult. | Off | Off |
What this does not do
- Communities label themselves, so some adult material sits in unlabelled places.
- There is no dashboard, no activity report, and no way for you to be linked to the account.
- Much of Reddit is readable while signed out, where no account setting applies.
What people get wrong
- Looking for a family mode. Reddit has none — network-level blocking is the only real lever.

page is the authority, and we would be glad to be told.
